About NACC - North

The Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce – North Chapter (NACC-NORTH) is part of the national Norwegian Chamber of Commerce. The chapter is headquartered in Minneapolis, MN and serves a membership based in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana.

Our Mission:

To provide bilateral commercial ties between the United States and Norway.

Business in the Upper Midwest

Founded in 1968, NACC-North covers the entire Upper Midwest (Iowa, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and Montana).

With a large and active Scandinavian community, the Upper Midwest is a natural and receptive market for Norwegian companies. NACC – North works closely with the Minnesota Trade Office and is well placed to assist its members in affairs related to Norwegian-American commerce, and well as helping new members making initial contacts in the community.

Our Focus

We continue to focus to cover a variety of topics that are of interest to the business interests within our chapter. We will also endeavor to attract the attention of Norwegian Chambers of Commerce in order to showcase the North as an attractive place to do business, with significant resources in law, banking, advertising, manufacturing, medical device, insurance, and farming, to name but a few. We are home to several Fortune 500 companies, we have a great educational system, fantastic nature, and a very high quality of life with plenty of entertainment.

We look forward to meeting these challenges head on, and are confident that we will be successful.

NACC Across America

Headquartered in New York, NACC has eight active chapters in the United States: Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. The chamber also maintains a close association with the American Chamber of Commerce in Norway, AmCham (the result of a 1999 merger of NACC Norway and the American Chamber of Commerce Norway).

The regional US chapters are incorporated in their respective states and linked through an affiliation agreement with New York. The national board in New York consists of 43 directors including the presidents of the eight chapters.

There are more than 500 members in the U.S. (including individuals). Members include most of the U.S. subsidiaries of Norwegian companies, and U.S. companies providing services and trading with Norwegian companies. NACC has strong ties to the Norwegian authorities in the U.S. and works closely with Innovation Norway.
